This web site is for the residents of Arlen House and Arlen House West.

The Arlen House Complex is comprised of

The complex is located in Sunny Isles Beach, the City of Sun and Sea, and is situated on a barrier island in the northeast corner of Miami-Dade County.

We are bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Golden Beach lies to the north, Bal Harbour and Haulover Park are immediately to the south.

Arlen House and Arlen House West (300 and 500 Bayview Drive) enjoy a sensational, multimillion dollar location across from the newly built Trump buildings.

All South facing units enjoy a sensational view over the Intracoastal, Haulover Park and Beach, the Atlantic Ocean towards downtown Miami. From here you can see the Cruise ships leaving Miami’s harbor or the flickering night lights of downtown Miami in the far distance. The view is protected and nothing within 1.6 miles disturbs the view over mangroves, sandy beaches, and the bluish green water surrounding us.

If you are lucky you can see dolphins, manatees or sting rays swimming in the water or just traveling alongside fancy boats and yachts on a daily base - almost like having your own huge aquarium.

North facing units enjoy a nice view towards the city lights of Aventura and North Miami Beach twinkling over the water. It’s a magic fairy tale sight!


One can also see the Intracoastal and the 163rd draw bridge (also known as 826).

Arlen House West Election Results

Arlen House West Condominium Association held its Annual Meeting on January 11, 2012.  Elections were held, conducted by a representative of the State Ombudsman's office.

The candidates elected to the Board for a two year terms were:

  • Kathy Haley (incumbent);
  • Michael Leibman (incumbent);
  • Alba DiStefano (incumbernt);
  • Joseph Tsinberg (new member).

Congratulations to the new Board members.

Arlen House Annual Meeting

January 26, 2012

The first mailing for the Arlen House Annual Meeting has gone out.  Included in the mailing is the Notice of Candidacy for those persons wishing to run for the Board of Directors.  The Notice of Candidacy must be returned to the office by 5:00PM on Friday, December 16, 2011.  Four Director's seats are up for election.

The second mailing, which will include the ballot, will be hand delivered and mailed out by December 22, 2011.

If your unit is owned by more than one person (two people on the title or by a corporation), we must have a Voter's Certificate on file in the office prior to the Annual Meeting.  Units requiring a Voter's Certificate that do not have one on file, will not have their votes counted.  If you have any questions, please contact the office.

October Employees of the Month

We are proud to announce October's Employees of the Month - Jorge Brito, at the 500 desk and Rafaella Sejour, overnight security.

Jorge is always a welcoming smile on the front desk of the 500 building.  Rafaella helps keep you safe at night.  We congratulate both Jorge and Rafaella.

Response from AHW Board of Directors to recall letter

Please read the Board's response

On or about July 12, 2011, a recall ballot and letter were put under some Arlen House West unit owners' doors.  The letter in that envelope contained some erroneous information.

The Board of Directors has responded to that letter.  The response can be found by placing your mouse over the 500 tab above.  A link to Arlen 500 Downloads will appear.  Click on the link.  This will take you to the Arlen 500 Downloads page.  Click on "Full mailing response to recall letter 7-12-11."  This will download a pdf for you to read.

The last page of the pdf is a Rescission form.  Please complete this and bring or send it to the office.  This will protect you in the event that you signed the recall document and do not want the recall to go through, or you want to make sure a recall document was not submitted in your name.

If you have any questions about the erroneous statements made in the letter from the group running the recall, please feel free to contact the office.  Accurate answers will be provided.

Homeowner's Insurance

Buy it now!

We are in hurricane season.  The condo associations have insurance, but it ONLY covers common areas.  If your unit is damaged by a hurricane (or an internal leak), it is not the condo insurance that fixes it.  That is YOUR responsibility.

Contact an agent and purchase insurance NOW.  Once a hurricane gets too close to South Florida, new policies will NOT be issued.

Also, ask your agent for special assessment coverage.  That coverage will reimburse you in case of a special assessment.

Don't wait! Get insurance now.
